About Us

Cāo Fila by Nitro was born from a dream and a common need: for pets to have fun while their owners are at work, instead of staying home alone. That’s how we created a place where pets are treated with love and respect, and feel right at home—completely cage-free!

We are young Puerto Rican women who started this journey based on our own needs and those of our beloved pets. We began by offering pet taxi services while completing our dog training certification. Thanks to the support and trust of our first clients, we brought Cāo Fila Pet Road to life—organizing fun outings so our clients’ dogs could enjoy our favorite spots like beaches, rivers, and hiking trails. Today, one of the original founders proudly continues leading the business with the same passion, dedication, and love for pets that started it all. As time went by, clients started asking us to take care of their pets, and we ended up hosting up to 15 dogs at home! That’s when it was decided to open a pet hotel, focused on a cage-free experience so pets would feel like they were at their home.

For years, we balanced full-time jobs while building this dream, which helped us truly understand how challenging it can be for pet parents to make time for essentials like vaccinations and grooming. That experience continues to shape our commitment today. At Cāo Fila by Nitro, we’re here to make life easier for you—offering dedicated, high-quality care so your pets always feel loved, respected, and right at home.

At Cão Fila by Nitro, we have a team of true animal lovers, including certified veterinary assistants with CPR certification, professional groomers with over 7 years of experience, and certified dog trainers. We all work together to provide the care, attention, and safety that every furry guest deserves.

Cāo Fila by Nitro offers reliable pet taxi services to help pet parents get their furry companions to vet visits, grooming appointments, and other essential services with ease. We’re also here in more delicate moments—transporting pets for surgeries, emergencies, or end-of-life care—with compassion, support, and a deep understanding of what families need during those times.

We also offer the convenience of picking up and boarding your pet while you're away—whether you're on vacation, handling family matters off the island, or traveling for work. Rest assured, we'll care for your furry friend with love and attention until you return!
